This site is a must-visit source for anyone who creates anything for "The Sims"! Make perfectly tiling floors, walls, patterns for skins, anything. Just as the name implies, these filters really are simple! Any graphics program that can use .8bf files (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Jasc Paintshop Pro, to name just two) can use them. And they're FREE! Sheer genius...

Mmmmm... When I need to just slow down and browse an exotic, richly decorated Southeast Asian flavored Sim-site, I head straight for Juniper Sun. Objects run the gamut from Balinese to Tibetan, Japanese to Javanese, modern to ancient. You'll catch the mood the minute you see the front page. Frequent updates and thorough crediting (you'll want to visit those sites, too!) are an extra treat!

SimsID is THE source of totally original objects for Sim-Kids. Dollhouses, bookcases, easels, toys, toyboxes...you name it, if it's for Sim-Kids, it's at SimsID. Adult Sims aren't left out (the aquariums are my favorites), but it's the Kid-oriented downloads that really make this site stand out.

Update: This banner remains in order to provide credit for some of the meshes used on this site.] Richard Ward is a perverse and very sweet guy: he and his wonderful guest-artists make outrageous (some anatomically correct) body meshes and skins, and allow others free use of the meshes as the bases for their own give-away skins. If not for him and his co-produced "Uber" meshes ~ the brainchild of Kieth "Spanki" Young [see below] ~ there probably would never be any skins in The Cove (if they're not Different, why bother???). Recommended for adults.

[Update: A very old site, hasn't been updated in years ~ but if you're new to The Sims, you'll be glad it's still up and running!] All kinds of objects with an Asian jungle flavor, but especially notable for large, frameless windows, nearly invisible walls and doorways, and life-like garden objects (plants, fountains, rocks, etc.). I become more tranquil just visiting the site. Oh, and they have a pet llama for download!

Jerome's Meshes is where many "Rubenesque Sims" begin their lives. Jerome specializes in Body Meshes, adding various types of shoe styles, and altering hemlines and sleeves, to put variety into Sims' looks. Many of his Meshes are compatible with Skins already in the game, so go see what new variations you can download from his great site! If you're a Skinner, make sure to join his E-List to get the latest info on new creations.

Bodywarp is an easy-to-use basic mesh-altering program. It won't perform intricate adjustments, but it allowed me ~ a 3D neophyte ~ to alter a basic body mesh into a Sim shaped just like me, long before I knew anything at all about 3D programs. I'm hosting the program because I couldn't find another easy-to-locate source: Download BodyWarp.
