Lay the floor tiles in the shape and size desired. One tile placed outside the entry gives the illusion of a step.

Build walls around the floor, leaving the "step" outside.

Choose the wallpaper that matches the rail you plan to use. Other wallpaper may be used to achieve different effects.

Apply the wallpaper to all walls that will have rails installed. Don't forget the inside walls.

Install the rails just like you would windows. Do not place a rail where your entry will be.

Place an "invisible door," (available below ~ it's perfect for this use!), in the entry. Any such "invisible door" can be used, but this style is my favorite:

Columns may be placed in the corners of the porch, but they're not necessary. Because the porch is actually a fully enclosed room, the roof will form automatically.

Because the rails are based on windows, they "drop" with the walls, so they won't obscure your view of the porch.
